Ride with Us

We want you to ride with us! Harpeth Bicycles is not only a bike shop. We also strive to be a hub within the cycling community. Our racing team is chartered with the responsibility to ride safely and be a positive example whenever they are wearing the team jersey.

Not a racer? We still want you to ride with us. Harpeth Bicycles has partnered with Team Green Adventures! Our first group rides will be announced soon and will encompass road rides on some of the amazing roads in the area, and mountain bike rides on the miles of singletrack available to Middle Tennessee riders. These rides will be led by experienced members of our racing team and will be about building confidence in a group, teamwork, and increasing fitness. Mountain bike rides will involve some cruising and some time for instruction and skills building. We want everyone to learn from these rides – even the ride leaders!

June 24, 2011

Racers and Festival go-ers. Due to the amount of rain we have received in the past week we are making the call to postpone the Fat Tire Festival and 50 Mile race until the weekend of July 9th and 10th. The festival will take place on Saturday July 9th and the race will be on Sunday July 10th. This is in the best interest of all racers and is also in the best interests of the Hamilton Creek trail system.

We want this race to be tough (it will be) but we don’t want it to be dangerous. Think broken egos, not broken bikes (or bones). Keep practicing out there when trail conditions permit, and contact the race promoters with any questions.

Harpeth Bicycles and Team Green Adventures are challenging Nashville area bike riders to use cycling for transportation as well as fun. From May 15th through June 19th, participants in the Commit to Commute challenge will log their miles ridden and commuting thoughts. On June 25th we will all celebrate our commitment to commuting at Yazoo Brewing Company.

Commit to Commute highlights the importance of local action to spur global change. Every mile ridden on a bicycle is a mile that didn’t require a gasoline powered vehicle. How many gallons of gas can we as a cycling community avoid using by committing to use our bicycles as transportation for the next two months? Sign up and find out with us.

September 1, 2010

Just a quick update from two really fun Sunday rides! A thank you out to Randy and Jan for making the 8am ride a real pleasure -  some rolling hills and great conversation at a Sunday morning kinda pace.  Enough to get the heart rate up, but no hammering allowed.  We broke a sweat, but [...]
